To my Puzzle Solving Friends,
First and foremost, thank you exploring my first Sequential Discovery puzzle. I truly hope you enjoyed what I consider to be a relatively simple puzzle to solve, yet a very complex first dive into puzzle designing.
The Mercurius Temple is the first of three Greco-Roman themed puzzles in The Trials of Mercury trilogy. The follow-on puzzle will be Maximilian’s Monopteros, another Sequential Discovery puzzle containing the next relic. (Can you guess what it might be?)
If you wish to continue on this journey, I’ll ask whether you choose to side with Mercury or Laverna. You can indicate your preference in the feedback form below without committing to a final decision yet. The steps to solve the next puzzle will be identical no matter which deity you choose, however the accompanying letter and story elements will differ, revealing different aspects of the larger narrative. Consider this a ‘choose your own adventure’ puzzle series.
This second production run gave me the opportunity to revisit how I crafted The Mercurius Temple. While the puzzle and its mechanisms remain fundamentally the same, I’ve made a number of improvements to the manufacturing process and refined some of the aesthetic details based on feedback and what I learned while producing the original run. It’s still very much my first puzzle design, imperfections and all, but I’m proud of how it has evolved.
As I continue working on future puzzles, feedback is extremely valuable to me. The comments I received from the first production run directly influenced several improvements made to this one, so your experience genuinely helps shape what I build next. If you’re willing to take a few minutes to share your thoughts, good or bad, I’d greatly appreciate it.

P.S. Some fun insider information: Maïa is my daughter’s name, Maximilien is my son’s. It was serendipitous to discover that Mercury’s mother in Roman mythology was Maia, eldest of the Pleiades… something I couldn’t resist weaving into the lore.
